Moscow, April 24 (LaPresse) – U.S. President Donald Trump's statement that Crimea was "lost" by Ukraine years ago is fully in line with Russia's position on the issue. This was stated by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, as reported by Interfax. "This is fully consistent with our understanding and what we have been saying for a long time. This is what can be said," Peskov said. Earlier, Trump had stated that "Crimea was lost" by Ukraine "years ago" and that statements by President Volodymyr Zelensky, who refuses to recognize it as Russian territory, are harming negotiations to end the conflict.
