Tel Aviv, April 12 (LaPresse) – The Israeli army has announced that it will dismiss reservists from the air force who signed a letter condemning the war in Gaza, arguing that it serves only political interests instead of bringing hostages home. In a statement to the Associated Press, an army official stated that there is no room for any entity or individual, including active reservists, "to exploit their military status while simultaneously participating in the fighting," calling it an abuse of trust between commanders and subordinates. Nearly 1,000 reservists and retired members of the Israeli air force signed the letter, which was published Thursday in Israeli media, calling for the immediate return of hostages, even at the cost of ending the fighting.
