Milan, April 9 (LaPresse) – Mohammad Mokhaber, advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader on political affairs, stated that former Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash last year, was close on two occasions to signing a nuclear agreement with the United States in 2022, but Israel always blocked it. This was reported by Ynet. Washington has also announced sanctions against five entities and one individual based in Iran, which "support the main entities managing and overseeing Iran's nuclear program, including the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) and the Iran Centrifuge Technology Company (TESA), a subsidiary of the AEOI." The U.S. State Department said in a statement that "today’s action is taken in support of President Trump's maximum pressure campaign against Iran."
