Tariffs, media: Netanyahu to visit the White House on Monday

Washington, April 5 (LaPresse) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to visit the White House on Monday. This was reported by Axios, citing four sources. If the visit goes ahead as planned, Netanyahu will be the first foreign leader to meet Donald Trump in person to try to negotiate a deal aimed at removing the tariffs imposed by the U.S. president. The two leaders are also expected to discuss the Iranian nuclear crisis and the war in Gaza. However, Axios points out that in order to make the visit this week, Netanyahu will have to ask the judges in his corruption trial to cancel the scheduled hearings, during which his testimony was expected to continue. The sources said the plan could still change, largely for this reason.
