Rome, 5 Apr. (LaPresse) – Since Israel resumed bombing the Gaza Strip last month, more than 142,000 people have been displaced, according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). ‘Since the beginning of the war in Gaza, some 1.9 million people, including thousands of children, have been repeatedly displaced by shelling, fear and loss. The collapse of the ceasefire has caused another wave of displacement, affecting over 142,000 people between 18 and 23 March alone,’ said UNRWA.
