Budapest (Hungary), 3 Apr. (LaPresse) – ‘Hungary will withdraw from the International Criminal Court’. This was announced by the Hungarian minister Gergely Gulyas, who is head of the cabinet of the prime minister Viktor Orban, adding that ‘the government will begin the withdrawal procedure on Thursday (today, ed.), in accordance with the constitutional and international legal framework’. The announcement came a few hours after the arrival in the country of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in relation to the war in Gaza, a warrant that Orban has promised to ignore.
