Rome, 2 Apr. (LaPresse) – The team of US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz has created numerous chats on Signal to discuss issues relating to Ukraine, China, Gaza, the Middle East, Africa and Europe. This was reported by Politico, citing four sources directly involved in the conversations that took place on the messaging app. According to the sources, there are at least twenty chats in which sensitive information was discussed. The use of Signal, at the centre of the recent scandal concerning plans to attack the Houthis, Politico emphasises, appears to be more widespread than the White House National Security team thought. The app, which although encrypted is based on open source technology, is not considered completely secure for discussions on matters of national security.
