Madrid (Spain), 2 Apr. (LaPresse) – The Spanish government is preparing for the tariffs that US President Donald Trump is expected to announce today. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has ordered a response plan that includes direct aid for companies in the primary, automotive and metallurgical sectors, considered to be the most exposed to tariffs, reports El País, stressing that there is maximum alarm at the Moncloa (the Spanish President's official residence) due to the consequences that the tariffs could have on wine, agriculture and automobiles. Government sources, quoted by the Spanish newspaper, have urged caution, stating that the measures being studied cannot be finalised until the measures that Trump will adopt are known.
