Rome, Mar 28 (LaPresse) – The second round of US-Russia consultations on resolving the Ukraine conflict could take place in Riyadh in mid-April, according to the Russian news agency Tass, citing a source familiar with the negotiation process.
"Technical consultations between Russia and the United States will continue, although the organizational aspects of the next round of talks have not yet been discussed," the source stated. "The delegations may hold another meeting in Riyadh, approximately in mid-April."
Russia and the United States previously held consultations in Riyadh on March 24, lasting over 12 hours. The Russian delegation was led by Grigory Karasin and Sergey Beseda, an advisor to the director of the Federal Security Service.
The US delegation included Andrew Peek, Senior Director for Europe at the National Security Council, and Michael Anton, Director of the Policy Planning Staff at the State Department, as well as aides to Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
