Kiev (Ukraine), Mar 23 (LaPresse/AP) – Speaking on ‘Fox News Sunday’ Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff said he expects ‘some real progress’ in talks on Ukraine in Saudi Arabia tomorrow, ‘particularly in terms of a ceasefire on the Black Sea for ships between the two countries, and from there it will naturally move to a total ceasefire.’ Responding to questions about concerns that Russian President Vladimir Putin might look beyond Ukraine and push deeper into Europe, even if Russia gains territory inside Ukraine, Witkoff said: ‘I simply said that I don't think he wants to take all of Europe. This is a very different situation from World War II. In World War II there was no NATO. There are countries that are armed. I take him at his word in that sense. And I think the Europeans are beginning to believe it too. But in a way it doesn't matter. It is an academic question… The agenda is stop the killing, stop the slaughter, let's finish this thing.’
