Milan, March 21 (LaPresse) – "With all due respect, the UN will not protect us from occupation or from Putin's desire to return. We do not see the UN as an alternative to a contingent or security guarantees." This is what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a press conference with Czech President Petr Pavel, where he was asked to comment on the possibility of a UN-led peacekeeping mission in Ukraine. "The UN cannot be an alternative to security guarantees because the UN will not have a mandate to protect Ukraine if Putin turns to us with war again," Zelensky added, as reported by Rbc-Ukraine.
