Rome, 21 Mar (LaPresse) – Heathrow Airport in London is closed. ‘Due to a fire in an electrical substation supplying the airport, Heathrow is experiencing a significant power outage.’ This was announced by the management company on the London airport's website. 'To ensure the safety of our passengers and colleagues, Heathrow will remain closed until 11:59pm on 21 March,' the note adds. Thousands of homes are without power and around 150 people have had to be evacuated. Heathrow is one of the world's busiest airports for international travel, with more than 6.3 million passengers in January. The London Fire Brigade said that 10 fire engines and about 70 firefighters responded to put out the flames.
