Milan, March 14 (LaPresse) – "Yesterday we had very good and productive discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and there is a very good chance that this horrible, bloody war can finally come to an end." This was written by U.S. President Donald Trump in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social. "At this moment, thousands of Ukrainian soldiers are completely surrounded by the Russian army and in a very bad and vulnerable position. I strongly urged President Putin that their lives be spared. This would be a horrible massacre, one not seen since World War II. God bless them all!!!" added the White House leader. The reference seems to be to the situation in Russia's Kursk region. Yesterday, speaking at a press conference in Russia alongside Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Putin had stated that for the Ukrainian soldiers in Russia's Kursk region, the choice would be to surrender or die.
