Ukraine, Kremlin: "No Rush on Ceasefire, Waiting for Details First"

Milan, March 12 (LaPresse) – "Look, you're rushing a bit too much; we don’t want to do that." This is how Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov responded regarding the U.S. proposal for a 30-day ceasefire, which Ukraine has expressed willingness to accept. The statement was reported by the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.

"Yesterday, while speaking to the press, both Rubio and Waltz said they would provide us with detailed information on the nature of the discussions that took place in Jeddah through various diplomatic channels. First, we need to obtain this information. In the coming days, contacts with the Americans are expected, during which we hope to receive all the details," Peskov added.

The Kremlin also stated that, following the talks between the U.S. and Ukraine in Jeddah, a topic may emerge that could lead to a phone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and former U.S. President Donald Trump. If necessary, such a call would be arranged very quickly.
