Milan, March 12 (LaPresse) – Four Syrian citizens were killed and two others were injured in a Russian missile attack on the port of Odessa on Tuesday evening. The governor of the Odessa region, Oleh Kiper, reported this, as cited by Ukrainska Pravda.
"Last night (March 11), Russia struck the port of Odessa. A ballistic missile damaged the ship MJ Pinar, flying the flag of Barbados. Unfortunately, 4 people, Syrian citizens, were killed. The youngest victim was 18, and the oldest was 24," Kiper said, adding that "at the time of the attack, the ship was loading grain to be exported to Algeria." "It was a fully civilian ship," he emphasized, noting that another ship, docks, and storage warehouses were also damaged. The two injured individuals are a Ukrainian citizen and a Syrian. According to Suspilne, the attack was carried out using an Iskander-M ballistic missile.
