Milan, 1 Mar. (LaPresse) – NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte told the BBC that he had spoken twice to Volodymyr Zelensky after the Ukrainian president's meeting with Donald Trump at the White House yesterday. The BBC reports that Rutte said he could not say ‘what was discussed’ but that he told Zelensky that ‘we must respect’ what Trump has done so far for Ukraine and that he must ‘find a way’ to restore the relationship with Trump after yesterday's clash. Rutte added that the green light from the first Trump administration for the sale of Javelin anti-tank missiles allowed Ukraine to ‘react’ and that ‘we really have to give Trump some credit’.
