Berlin (Germany), 1 Mar (LaPresse/AP) – Germany's President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has criticised US President Donald Trump in unusually harsh terms for his behaviour during yesterday's meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office. ‘Diplomacy fails when negotiating partners are humiliated in front of the whole world,’ Steinmeier told the German news agency dpa, during a flight to Uruguay. 'Yesterday's scene at the White House left me breathless. I would never have believed that one day we would have to protect Ukraine from the US,' Steinmeier added.
