Rome, 20 Feb (LaPresse) – The Israeli armed forces have confirmed that they carried out an air strike in the southern Gaza Strip several hours ago, targeting a group of suspects who had taken possession of a drone and used it in a smuggling attempt. The Times of Israel reported this. According to the army, the drone had been identified while crossing the border between Israel and Gaza, in an attempt to smuggle prohibited goods. After the drone landed and several suspects took possession of it, the army carried out an air strike against them. Palestinian media reported that several people were killed and injured in the attack.
