Milan, February 13 (LaPresse) – In response to a question about yesterday's phone call between Trump and Putin, Guo Jiakun, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that both Russia and the United States are major influential powers and that “we are happy to see Russia and the United States strengthening communication and dialogue on a range of international issues.”
Regarding the Ukraine crisis, China has always believed that dialogue and negotiations are the only viable path to resolving the crisis and has consistently promoted peace talks. “China supports all efforts that contribute to a peaceful resolution of the crisis,” Guo emphasized.
