Washington (U.S.), Feb. 6 (LaPresse) – Donald Trump will sign this afternoon two executive orders on the International Criminal Court and “discrimination against Christians.” This was reported by a White House source to CNN. The order regarding the ICC is expected to impose financial and visa sanctions on “individuals and their family members who assist in ICC investigations of U.S. citizens or our allies,” according to a fact sheet obtained by Cnn. This would primarily be punishment against the body for issuing arrest warrants for senior Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. The House of Representatives already passed a bill sanctioning the ICC last month, but Senate Democrats blocked its passage. This morning, the president had instead announced his executive order on anti-Christian bias. The orders are scheduled to be signed in the Oval Office of the White House at 2:30 p.m. (8:30 p.m. in Italy).
