USA, Postal Service lifts suspension on accepting packages from China and Hong Kong

Hong Kong (USA), Feb 5 (LaPresse/AP) – The United States Postal Service (USPS) will resume accepting all mail and packages arriving from China and Hong Kong. The USPS had previously announced that it would stop accepting packages from China and Hong Kong after the U.S. imposed an additional 10% tariff on Chinese goods and ended a customs exemption that allowed low-value packages to enter the country tax-free. The USPS stated that it is working with Customs and Border Protection to implement a process for collecting the new Chinese tariffs in order to prevent delivery disruptions.
