Milan, Jan. 31 (LaPresse) – North Korean soldiers who had joined Russian troops in battle against Ukrainian forces have been withdrawn from the frontline after suffering heavy losses, according to Ukrainian and U.S. officials cited by The New York Times.

Sources specified that for about two weeks, North Korean troops have not been seen on the front lines of combat. Approximately 11,000 North Korean soldiers had arrived in Russia in November, but within just three months, their numbers have been reduced by at least half.
