Frankfurt (Germany), 31 Jan (LaPresse) – A proposal for a Cdu-Csu bill to tighten migration policies failed to pass in the Bundestag. The so-called ‘law for restricting influxes’ was rejected with 338 votes in favour and 350 against. There were five abstentions. After the approval of a Cdu-Csu motion on migration policy, which passed in the Bundestag on Wednesday with AfD votes, the German parliament today spoke out against the Christian Democrats' bill to limit immigration after a heated debate. On this occasion too, the Union's proposal had found support from Germany's ultra-right AfD. Spd, Greens and Left had proposed to refer the motion back to the Interior Commission, finding opposition from Cdu-Csu, Fdp, AfD and Bsw.
