Frankfurt (Germany), Jan 27 (LaPresse) – ‘Daughters and sons, mothers and fathers, best friends, neighbours, grandparents: more than a million people with dreams and hopes were murdered in the death camps, murdered by Germans. We stand in solidarity and remember. We do not tolerate forgetting, neither today nor tomorrow'. This was written in a message on X by the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz. Together with the German President, Frank Walter Steinmeier, Scholz will be in Auschwitz today for the commemoration of the victims of the Holocaust. The German delegation also includes Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck and Finance Minister Jörg Kukies.
