Denmark, 2 billion for new defence plan for the Arctic and North Atlantic

Rome, 27 Jan (LaPresse) – Denmark's presence in the Arctic and North Atlantic will be strengthened. That is the message of the new defence plan for the Arctic presented by Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen. Investments of around DKK 14.6 billion, almost EUR 2 billion, are planned, Danish media report. Among other things, three new Arctic ships and two additional long-range drones will be acquired for surveillance and the strengthening of satellite capacity.
