This was said by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, speaking at the Italian embassy in Berlin, on the sidelines of the European People's Party (EPP) meeting, responding to a question on whether the agreement between Israel and Hamas is a victory for Donald Trump or Joe Biden. ‘Both put pressure on Israel to reach this ceasefire. So both Trump and Biden are committed to ending a season that has caused too many deaths and created great instability throughout the area. Because the key to all the problems is what is happening in Gaza. I hope that after a first phase we can arrive at a second and then a third, and that there can be no interruption in this phase that must lead from the ceasefire to the truce and then to peace,' Tajani said again.
