Turin, 16 Jan (LaPresse) – The ceo of TikTok, Chew Shou Zi, plans to attend the 20 January inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump. This was reported by the New York Times, according to which Chew has been invited to sit in a position of honour on the stage. The ceo, writes the newspaper, will join tech tycoons such as Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk at the ceremony, while the fate of the app hangs in the balance as Congress passed a law in 2024 requiring ByteDance to sell the platform to a non-Chinese company, or else be banned from 19 January.
