Milan, 11 June (LaPresse) – The All England Lawn Tennis Club announced today a record prize fund of £64.2 million (approximately €75.8 million) for the 2026 edition of the historic Wimbledon tournament. The prize money represents a 20% increase (£10.7 million, over €12.5 million) and is by far the largest annual increase in the tournament’s history. The winners of the singles tournaments will receive a prize of £3.6 million (approximately €4.25 million), 20% higher than in 2025. Runners-up, meanwhile, will earn £1.8 million (around €2.12 million, an 18% increase on last year). There are also significant increases in the singles draw for those eliminated in the first round. Each of these players will receive £80,000 (approximately €94,400, a 21% increase compared to 2025), whilst the total prize money available for the qualifying tournament will be £6.2 million, or approximately €7.3 million (a 25% increase compared to last year).
