Hungarian GP: Marquez triumphs ahead of Acosta and Bagnaia

Milan, June 7 (LaPresse) – A sensational Marc Márquez completed a perfect weekend by winning the Hungarian Grand Prix, a round of the MotoGP World Championship. At the Balaton Park circuit, the Spanish Ducati rider, who started from pole position, claimed a magnificent victory – the 100th of his career – adding it to his pole position and Sprint race win on Saturday. As on Saturday, the only rider able to challenge him was fellow Spaniard Pedro Acosta, who finished second on his KTM after an exciting battle. Third place went to a consistent Francesco Bagnaia on the other factory Ducati, confirming the podium finish he achieved at Mugello. In terms of the championship standings, nothing changed at the top, as Aprilia riders Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín crashed on the opening lap in a multi-rider incident that also involved Fabio Di Giannantonio on a VR46 Ducati, as well as Spaniards Raúl Fernández on the Trackhouse Aprilia and Fermín Aldeguer on the Gresini Ducati.
