Milan, 5 June (LaPresse) – Alexander Zverev is the first finalist at Roland Garros 2026, the second Grand Slam event of the season, currently underway on the Parisian clay courts. The German player, world number 3 and second seed, defeated the Czech Jakub Mensik, the 26th seed, in the semi-final in four sets with a score of 7-5, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 in three hours of play. In the final, Zverev will face the winner of the second semi-final, the all-Italian clash between Flavio Cobolli and Matteo Arnaldi. For Zverev, this is his second career final at Roland Garros, following the one he lost to Carlos Alcaraz in 2024. For the German, this is his fourth Grand Slam final in total, following defeats at the US Open in 2020 and the Australian Open in 2025.
