Milan, 29 May (LaPresse) – ‘They’re a top-class side; we saw that when they won the Premier League, but also when they finished top of their Champions League group. They deserve to be here; they play fantastic football. They’re strong in every area, both in attack and defence. The manager has done an excellent job too. He deserved to lead them to the Premier League title.’ That’s how Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé spoke about Arsenal at the press conference on the eve of the Champions League final. On his condition and concerns over his calf: “I wasn’t worried about missing this final due to injury. It’s been a difficult season, but the manager and the staff have managed us fantastically. I feel 100 per cent, and so does the team. We’ve prepared well, so we hope to be in top form tomorrow,” he said. “We’re enjoying these moments. We have a young squad, a fantastic squad that wants to win trophies. We’re hungry to win everything, whether it’s the Champions League, the league or domestic titles. If you want to be at the top, you have to win these kinds of trophies multiple times,” Dembélé added. At his side, captain Marquinhos said: “It’s always important to be motivated. We’ve shown that again this year. These are key moments. Once you win, once you taste that success, you have a very strong desire to experience it again. The emotion, the atmosphere in the dressing room; we’re fighters. We have to be hungry.” Marquinhos continued on Paris Saint-Germain’s approach compared to last year: “The emotions you feel ahead of a match are always the same, even if you’ve already experienced them. These are the toughest matches, with everything that entails. It’s about how we manage the situation and the pressure, how we deal with it. Nothing has changed; we’re working as we always have. That’s how we’ve prepared.”
