Milan, 26 May (LaPresse) – Pramac Racing has announced that Ross Brawn has joined its Board of Directors and will serve as strategic advisor to Team Principal Paolo Campinoti, bringing with him a wealth of experience gained over more than four decades at the pinnacle of world motorsport, including 11 Constructors’ titles and 11 Drivers’ titles. Brawn – according to a statement – served as Technical Director at Benetton from 1991 until the end of 1996, when he moved to Ferrari, where he remained until 2006, experiencing the entire Schumacher era. Team Principal at Honda in 2008, he then became owner of Brawn GP, the team he led to the world title in 2009 with Jenson Button. The team was subsequently renamed Mercedes in 2010, where he remained as Team Principal until 2013. From 2017 to 2022, he also served as Technical Director at Formula One Management. “I am delighted to welcome Ross to the Pramac Racing team,” said Campinoti. “In addition to his extraordinary career and the great results achieved in Formula 1, Ross and I have shared a friendship and mutual respect for many years. I believe that his vision, knowledge and winning mentality will make a valuable contribution to the growth and continued development of Pramac Racing.” ‘I am delighted to join the Board of Directors at Pramac Racing in a non-executive capacity,’ said Brown. ‘Motorsport is all about people, teamwork and continuous improvement, and I hope to support Paolo and the team by bringing my experience to bear wherever it is needed. Pramac has built an impressive organisation with great spirit and ambition, and I am delighted to be part of its future.’
