Italian Open, a new record: paying spectators exceed 400,000 for the first time

Rome, 14 May (LaPresse) – As of today, the BNL Italian Open currently underway at the Foro Italico has surpassed 400,000 paying spectators. “An extraordinary achievement, never before seen, which testifies to the passion, enthusiasm and affection with which the public is supporting this year’s tournament,” reads a statement from the FIT. To mark the occasion, Tournament Director Paolo Lorenzi presented the 400,000th spectator of this year’s BNL Italian Open with a ball signed by Jannik Sinner, for a souvenir photo on this historic day.
