Darderi Reigns Supreme in Rome: Now in the Semifinals Against Ruud

Rome, May 14 (LaPresse) – Luciano Darderi advances to the semifinals of the Rome International Tennis Tournament after a marathon match lasting over three hours, in which he defeated Spain’s Rafael Jodar with a score of 7-6, 5-7, 6-0. The match, played at the Stadio Olimpico, was also suspended for about twenty minutes due to smoke from fireworks set off during the Coppa Italia final at the Olimpico. The Italian will now face Norway’s Casper Ruud for a spot in the final. World No. 1 Jannik Sinner takes the court to face Andrey Rublev in the first match of the day on Center Court.
