Turin, 9 May (LaPresse) – Jorge Martin has won the MotoGP sprint race at the French Grand Prix. The Aprilia rider took the lead on the first lap following a superb start and pulled away in the opening laps, triumphing with a lead of over a second over pole-sitter Pecco Bagnaia, who returns to the podium on his Ducati. Third place went to the other Aprilia ridden by Marco Bezzecchi. Marc Marquez suffered a nasty crash – without serious consequences – on the final lap, having been in seventh position before going off. Fourth place went to Pedro Acosta’s KTM, ahead of Fabio Quartararo’s Yamaha and Joan Mir’s Honda, who finished sixth.
