Milan, May 5 (LaPresse) – Arsenal returns to the Champions League final after 20 years. The Gunners defeated Atlético Madrid 1-0 in the second leg of the semifinals (the first leg in Madrid had ended 1-1) and have thus secured their spot in the final in Budapest. The decisive goal for the English side came late in the first half, in the 44th minute, when Bukayo Saka capitalized on a short save by Oblak following a shot by Trossard. This will be Arsenal’s second Champions League final since 2006, which ended in a 2-1 loss to Barcelona. Tomorrow, Arteta’s men will find out the name of their opponent in the final: it will be either Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain, who starred in a thrilling 5-4 first-leg match at the Parc des Princes.
