New York (USA), 1 May (LaPresse) – Two more results came in overnight in the NBA playoffs: the New York Knicks and the Minnesota Timberwolves have advanced after closing out their series against the Hawks and the Nuggets respectively. In the West, the Wolves eliminated Nikola Jokic’s side, thanks to a stellar performance from Jaden McDaniels (32 points and 10 rebounds) in a 110-98 victory, which sealed the series 4-2. Minnesota now face Victor Wembanyama’s Spurs. In the East, Atlanta saw its post-season run come to an end with a heavy 140-89 defeat against the Knicks, one of the most lopsided results in playoff history. New York, victorious 4-2, now awaits its next opponent: it will be the winner of Game 7 between the Sixers and the Celtics, after Philadelphia managed to extend the series by beating Boston 106-93, with Tyrese Maxey leading the way with 30 points.
