Milan, 11 April (LaPresse) – As predicted, Carlos Alcaraz will face Jannik Sinner in the final of the “Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters”, the third “1000” tournament of the season, with a prize fund of €6,309,095, currently being played on the clay courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club in the Principality of Monaco. The Spanish tennis player, world number one and top seed as well as the defending champion, defeated Monegasque player Valentin Vacherot in the semi-final in two sets, 6-4, 6-4. In the first final of 2026 between Alcaraz and Sinner, not only is the Principality’s trophy at stake but also the top spot in the rankings: should he win, the Spaniard will retain his world number one ranking; if Sinner wins, he will leap to the top of the ATP rankings.
