Rome, 6 April (LaPresse) – It was all over for Matteo Arnaldi in the first round of the ‘Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters’, the third ‘1000’ tournament of the season being played on the clay courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club in the Principality of Monaco. In the third match on Court De Massy, the 25-year-old from Sanremo, ranked 107th in the ATP rankings and given a wildcard into the main draw as a lucky loser, was beaten 6-2, 6-4 in just under an hour and a half by Chile’s Cristian Garin, ranked 109th, who had progressed through the qualifiers.
