Monte Carlo, Apr. 4 (LaPresse) – Jannik Sinner will also play doubles in Monte Carlo. The world No. 2 is one of five Italians in the doubles draw, enriched by the presence of many top singles players. Sinner, competing for the second time this season in doubles after his experience at Indian Wells with Reilly Opelka, partners with third-seeded Zizou Bergs: in the first round they will face Tomas Machac and Casper Ruud. Andrea Vavassori will also compete, fresh from his Miami title with Simone Bolelli. In the Principality, he will play alongside Matteo Berrettini. Their journey opens against wild cards Alex de Minaur and Cameron Norrie. The match will determine the first opponents of the No. 3 seeds, Finnish Harri Heliovaara and Briton Henry Patten, who enter in the second round. The draw also includes Flavio Cobolli and Luciano Darderi, who face the Swedish-American duo Andre Goransson and Evan King in the first round. A possible second-round match could be against Germans Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz.
