Rome, 17 March (LaPresse) – Thomas Nadalini has received the award for “Most Improved Skater of the Year” at the ISU Speed Skating Awards. The 23-year-old from Trentino, who competes for Fiamme Oro, won the silver medal in the 1,500 metres and the gold in the mixed relay on the ice of Montreal’s iconic Maurice Richard Arena last weekend. Nadalini also finished in the top five in the 1,500 metres and in the top ten in the 1,000 metres at the World Championships, having also secured two podium finishes in the 1,000 and 1,500 metres at the European Championships earlier in the season. He also achieved his first individual podium finish in the World Tour this season, taking second place in the 1,500 metres at the third stage in Gdansk.
