The Granata took the lead early on through Simeone, but the Emiliani equalised before half-time via Pellegrino. In the second half, D'Aversa's side ran riot: Emirhan Ilkhan, Mandela Keita and Zapata all found the net in added time. With this victory, Torino move nine points clear of the relegation zone, one point behind the Gialloblu.
