Milan, 13 March (LaPresse) – Italy has secured its fifth gold medal at the Milan-Cortina Paralympics. Emanuel Perathoner clinched the victory in the men’s SB-LL2 snowboard banked slalom event. With the fastest time overall in the second run of 54.28 seconds, the Italian finished ahead of Switzerland’s Fabrice Von Gruenignen, who took silver, and Australia’s Ben Tudhope, who took bronze. This is Italy’s fifth gold medal at this edition of the Games – an all-time record – and its twelfth overall.
