F1, media: Bahrain Grand Prix and Saudi Arabian Grand Prix cancelled due to war in Iran

Frankfurt (Germany), 13 March (LaPresse) – The Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix have been removed from the Formula One World Championship calendar following the war in Iran and the situation in the Middle East. This is according to Sky Sports Germany. According to the German broadcaster, the races in Bahrain and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) have been cancelled and an official announcement is expected. The Bahrain Grand Prix was scheduled for 12 April, whilst the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was due to take place a week later. Formula 1 plans to return to the Middle East this year. Qatar, on 29 November, and, as is traditional, Abu Dhabi, on 6 December, will bring the season to a close.
