Turin, 12 March (LaPresse) – Novak Djokovic exits the Indian Wells Masters 1000 in the round of 16, losing in three sets after more than two and a half hours of play with a score of 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (5) against defending champion Jak Draper. The Brit will now face Daniil Medvedev, two-time finalist at Indian Wells, who eliminated American Alex Michelsen. The former world number one won their only previous meeting two years ago at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia. "I went out there tonight and I won thanks to my determination. I tried to solve the problems that arose, giving my all and maintaining a positive attitude,‘ Draper said in his on-court interview. Losing his serve when serving for the match, he added, ’wasn't easy for me, but when you come back after a long absence from the circuit, you need to regain your confidence to close out against champions of this level.
