Milan, 1 March (LaPresse) – Luciano Darderi qualified for the final of the ATP 250 in Santiago, Chile, beating Argentina's Sebastian Baez 6-4, 6-3 in the semi-finals. In the final, Darderi will face Germany's Yannick Hanfmann (81), who surprisingly defeated Argentina's Francisco Cerundolo (19) 6-3, 6-4. The previous matches between Darderi and Hanfmann favour the Italian. For Darderi, this will be the sixth ATP final of his career, which he faces with a very positive record of four finals won (Cordoba 2024 against Facundo Bagnis, Marrakech 2025 against Tallon Griekspoor, Bastad 2025 over Jesper De Jong and Umag 2025 over Carlos Taberner) and one lost final, the last one played in Buenos Aires a few weeks ago against Cerundolo. In next Monday's rankings, Darderi remains number 21 in the world.
