Turin, February 27 (LaPresse) – Sofia Goggia on the podium in the downhill race in Soldeu, Andorra, the first race of the ‘white circus’ after the end of the Olympics. The Italian finished third with a time of 1'31"86, 24 hundredths of a second behind the winner, Switzerland's Corinne Suter. Second place went to Austria's Nina Ortlieb, 11 hundredths of a second behind the leader. Laura Pirovano also finished in the top ten, in ninth place. The other Italian athletes in the race finished further back: Nicol Delago finished 16th and Elena Curtoni 18th. Further back were Nadia Delago in 23rd, Sara Thaler in 34th, Asja Zenere in 38th, and Sara Allemand in 41st. Roberta Melesi did not finish.
