Cortina d'Ampezzo (Belluno), 11 February (LaPresse) – The ad hoc section of the CAS set up for the Milan-Cortina Games has ruled that it ‘has no jurisdiction to examine the appeal lodged by biathlete Rebecca Passler’ against Nado Italia, WADA, FISI, IOC, IBU and CONI. This is according to a statement from the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne. The Italian biathlete tested positive for letrozole on 2 February during an out-of-competition test and was excluded from the Winter Games. “The athlete first appealed to the CAS and then to the judicial authorities of NADO Italia and, as a result, does not have the procedural right to appeal to the Ad Hoc Section of the CAS,” explained the Swiss court. 'Her provisional suspension may, however, be challenged before the National Anti-Doping Appeal Commission (NADAB) of NADO Italia.
