Milan, 6 February (LaPresse) – From the VIP stand at San Siro, the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, declared ‘the Milan Cortina Winter Olympic Games open’. Earlier, President Mattarella had enthusiastically greeted the Italian delegation as it passed by during the athletes' parade. Greetings to the Italian team were also shown on the big screen at San Siro from Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who was present in the stands.
