Milan Cortina, Jarach: ‘I'm not afraid if Ghali expresses his opinions’

Milan, 27 January (La Presse) – ‘I am in favour of freedom of expression, so I am not afraid if Ghali comes to express his views. As always, I find it inappropriate to exploit occasions of this kind, especially entertainment and light-hearted moments, to introduce much more serious topics in a way that is often incorrect’. This was the comment made by Roberto Jarach, president of the Shoah Memorial, on the sidelines of the Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony in Milan, regarding the controversy surrounding the pro-Palestinian singer's presence at the opening ceremony of the Milan-Cortina Olympics.
